Dry cleaning ties

I have a collection of nice ties, some given as presents and some bought by myself. Most of them have been bought from our AFFORDABLE warehouses, otherwise called the HAWKERS at 50/= bob.

Now on Saturday, i tried to have them dry cleaned and the good guys at the Laundry want to charge me at 65/= a piece.........

I dont think this is fair........

Do i wash clean them or do i buy new ties?

You can't wash ties in water. I'm a 3d generation dry cleaner and can tell you that ties come out looking as good as new at a full service cleaners. But don't expect to pay $1.50 each and find them acceptable. Its a skill and you get what you pay for. Dependable Cleaners in Denver, Colorado would be best. Its too bad you're not local but I'm sure you can find a name brand cleaner to do an excellent job.

Haven't you heard of the dry cleaning sprays, they work like carpet shampoo, brush them off and let your ties dry. They cost a tenner (£10.00)including the brush. I'm sure they can take care of 1000 ties. I use them for my suits in btn the real dry cleaning.
I'ts called Lean Management.
